Also upload your recipe in the files section of the meetup website. Please no animal products (like meat, fish, eggs, dairy, etc.) For recipes, try: http://www.goneraw.com We encourage recycling and ask our members and guests to bring their own dish or bowl and utensils ... let's save our planet's resources by eliminating paper and plastic consumption. We will have an assortment of water kefir a bubbly, probiotic beverage with a few flavors such as ginger and lemon for sampling. Leave with your very own Kefir "babies" to take home and grow! Please bring a jar with a plastic cover if you would like some live water kefir grains to make your own water kefir. Water kefir grains are a symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast held in a polymer created by the bacteria. Water kefir grains feed off sugars to produce lactic acid, acetic acid, and carbon dioxide. In the process, nutrient values are increased substantially, including vitamin C and various B vitamins.
