Singles Book Club: Why Men Love Bitches (Arlington)

If you've been too nice, run out and get this book now! I've gotten several recommendations for this book. Again it's one of those books that is NOT what the title implies. BITCH stands for: Babe In Total Control of Herself - it is not negative in anyway - very postive, super funny and helps women not fall into typical relationship traps. I haven't read the book yet, but the reviews on Amazon make it sound pretty interesting. And FINALLY a book that doesn't tell me I gotta just 'deal with it.' Her sassy book is filled with scenarios and advice aimed at making women subtly stronger and self-empowered. Argov's principles, which range from the farfetched to the downright absurd, include "If you give him a feeling of power, he'll want to protect you and he'll want to give you the world" and "A little distance combined with the appearance of self-control makes him nervous that he may be losing you." Some of us are looking for a life partner, or a great way to spend our Saturday nights, some great new girlfriends to go shopping with, or a new golf partner. In some form or fashion, we are all searching for some kind of relationship: we are all seeking some type of connection to the people around us. Typically we meet on the last Sunday of the month at 2:30 pm at the La Madeliene in North Arlington at the two long tables in the back by the drink station. Join us even if you dont finish the book.
