Mission Arlington - helping our community day

This is going to be a monthly event. It will be the 3rd Saturday of every month. Every time we do this, we will probably be doing something different depending on their needs at that time. I was told that they will be gearing up for school soon and will need help getting school supplies ready and things of that nature. Scheduled time is 10 - 2. We will meet at the volunteer office Mssion Arlington is more a movement than a strategy, more a spirit than a structure, more like a family than an organization. ItÂ’s not about religion, and it is as much about God as it is about people. If there is enough interest, I might schedule this also during the week as well. If you are interested in doing this during the week, please check out the polls section. Feel free to bring donations of food, clothing etc when you come to help! Some of there major needs are: Food Items: Peanut Butter / Jelly, Rice, pasta & beans Dinner items (Macaroni & Cheese, Hamburger Helper, etc.) Breakfast items (Small boxes of cereal, pastries, etc.) Powdered Milk Poptop Canned Meats (Vienna Sausages, Spam, Tuna) Baby Items: Diapers size 4, 5 and 6 Pull-ups Small packages of baby wipes Baby Soap & Shampoo Baby Bottles Toiletries Bar Soap Shampoo Razors Toothbrushes & Toothpaste Everything that you donate goes directly into the hands of someone in need.
