Lunch: 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM in the Commons. Please bring a brown bag lunch.
Hosts: UMMA's Award Winning Docents
Fee: Free!
Most museum goers spend about 8 seconds in front of a work of art. Slow down! Spend a languorous morning in UMMA's award winning building with its world class collection.
What will happen: Registered participants will gather at UMMA to view 5 pre-selected works of art on their own from 11 AM - 12 PM. Following this we'll gather for a brown bag lunch at the museum from 12 PM - 1 PM with other participants and docents to engage in lively conversation about the experience.
Instructions: One week before Slow Art Day, April 28, the host will e-mail you with instructions for your arrival at UMMA for Slow Art Day.
