Description
The inauguration of the 44th -- and first black -- President of the United States on January 20, 2009 will rank among the most memorable events in our nation's history. Barack Obama will be sworn in as President of the United States just days before the 200th anniversary of Abraham Lincoln's birth, and one day following the country’s annual recognition of our revered civil rights activist, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

In honor of this historical moment, Therapeutic Wellness will celebrate President-elect Obama’s messages of hope and change and our breakthrough in American history at a ball at the Westin Annapolis. Therapeutic Wellness is a mental health agency that provides hope to individuals with psychological and emotional challenges. Therapeutic Wellness has been a strong supporter of President-elect Obama because he recognizes the importance of healthcare reform in America.

Proceeds from the January event will benefit the Diane Freeman Foundation. The Diane Freeman Foundation was founded to encourage the fight of disease through naturopathic alternatives, and to render education and financial assistance to persons seeking alternative treatment. At a time when our country faces major challenges at home and abroad, Barack Obama brings us hope. Similarly, when life presents a shocking diagnosis that could threaten your ability to cope and live life to its fullest, the Diane Freeman Foundation will be there to provide hope. And in the end, we all will say HOPE WON!

This event will be a Red Carpet Event during Inauguration Week. Come and celebrate this phenomenal moment in American history.

The Gala Reception, Dinner, and Ball- To reveal some of the details, at 7:00pm we will begin the evening at the Beautiful Westin Annapolis Senate Ball Room. Photos will be taken on the red carpet as you enter to help you to savor this memorable event. This will give guest the opportunity to mix and mingle while waiters will serve drinks, and Hors’ D’ Oeuvres. You will also be serenaded by our featured artist “Tamara Wellons”. As we are wooed by her vocal finesse, there will be a silent auction of desirable objects to commemorate the event. The Grand Ballroom doors will be opened at 8:15 p.m. for dinner which will include a 4 course meal, gift bags, a program that will pay homage to President-Elect Barrack Obama and our history. After the message rings clear, Yes We Can! And Yes We Did! All attendees are invited to continue to celebrate the evening throughout all the venues.

We want everyone to celebrate this momentous event and also contribute to this very worthy cause. Let us come together in style. There's no better way to celebrate the New Year, New Presidency and New Hope in the fight against sickness and disease.
