Founding: Established in 1917 by the Church of God, Anderson, Indiana; more than 75 denominations are represented on campus.

Character: Selected as one of the top tier universities in the Midwest offering master's level degree programs by U.S. News & World Report's 2005 and 2006 editions of "America's Best Colleges."

Location: Anderson, Indiana, a city of 60,000, 35 miles northeast of Indianapolis.

Enrollment: Student population of nearly 2,800, which includes 2,100 traditional undergraduates, 70 percent of whom live on campus, and more than 650 students enrolled in graduate, adult education and School of Theology programs; 41 nations and 75 denominations represented

Majors: More than 60 majors offered through the College of the Arts, College of Science and Humanities, and College of Professional Studies.

Campus: Facilities include the Krannert Fine Arts Center with facilities for music and art; the 2,200-seat Reardon Auditorium; Byrum Hall, site of drama productions; Nicholson University Library, which features a state-of-the-art computerized catalog and extensive support for research; Hartung Hall science facility, which features nearly 30 labs and research areas; Decker Hall administrative and classroom building; Kardatzke Wellness Center, the 132,000 square-foot facility provides programming for health, recreation, and wellness in all forms—spiritual, emotional, physical, and social; nine computer labs with 150 networked microcomputers; broadcast center, which houses FM radio station and student video production company; Olt Student Center, site of student activities and dining halls; six residence halls plus apartment facilities; a collegiate-size swimming pool; and an athletic complex that features one of the most highly rated intercollegiate baseball facilities in the Midwest.

Faculty: 146 full-time faculty, 77 percent of tenure- track faculty hold earned doctorates or other terminal degrees. Student-to-faculty ratio is 14 to 1.

Accreditations: Accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Program accreditations by National League for Nursing, National Athletic Trainers Association, the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs, National Association of Schools of Music, Council on Social Work Education, National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education and Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs; the School of Theology is accredited by the Association of Theological Schools

Financial Aid: Approximately 95 percent of our students receive financial aid in a variety of forms, including scholarships, grants, loans, and part-time work-study. Students who apply for and receive aid based on financial need receive an average aid package of about $16,375. Anderson University processed $36.6 million in financial aid during the 2004-2005 school year. Usually the cost of a private school is offset by the availably of more financial aid.

Athletics: The Anderson Ravens are members of NCAA Division III. Men's teams in baseball, basketball, cross country, football, golf, soccer, tennis, track & field, cheerleading. Women's teams in basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, softball, tennis, track & field, volleyball, cheerleading.
