Glen Alps tp Prospect Heights -- A quick Sunday morning downhill cruise

****************************** ======= Posted for Robert ======= ****************************** Address all questions directly to Robert WHAT/ WHERE: Ski down the powerline, gasline o&/or South Rim trils from Glen Alps to Prospect heights. Meet at Prospect Heights -- we will leave some cars here for a shuttle, taking all the skiers up in 1/2 of the cars. This should not be your first time on skis but most skiers will be able to handle this terrain, especailly if we have new snow. WHEN: Sunday, Janaury 18th. Meet at 9:30 AM and leave at 9:40 AM for Glen Alps. Should take about 1 hour and 20 minuets. Depending on how long we stop to admire the view. BRING: -- Skis (Touring skis, with or without metal edges would be best. Most any ski except skate skis or downhill skis will work) -- Clothing appropriate for the weather. This web site will tell you the temp at the start (Glen Alps) and the finish (see data for "Upper Hillside"). -- Camera,since the sunrise may be spectacular DOGS: They are OK but they may complicate the car shuttle so they are discouraged unless you work out shuttle vehicles with agreeable drivers before hand.
