Fire & Ice New Years Eve in Town Square Park - Ice skating, music, fireworks

WHAT: Fire & Ice New Years Eve Celebration in Town Square Park - Ice skating, music, fireworks Those who can make it are invited to gather up at Adventurer's member John Dickenson's house for a light potluck meal / indulgence in beverages. For those who do not make it to John's house, watch for Adventurers ice skaters who you recognize in the PAC lobby where there are benches to put skates on and off. Those of us who go to John's and are skaters will try to be using those PAC lobby benches ~7 PM. We can always call one another's cell phones to connect. WHERE: John Dickenson's house -- 1618 Northwestern Ave 99508 Parking can be a little tight so you may have to park around the corner on streets to the east or west of the house. Those of us who do gather first at John's house will try to leave there by about 6:45 - 7 PM to head downtown. That'll give us a little skate time/ social time in the crowd before the 8 PM start of the fireworks. BRING: -- Ice skates -- optional but lots of fun on the little Town Square ice rink. It's like a baby Rockefeller Center ice rink in NYC. -- Warm clothes for the time spent outdoor before and during the 8 PM fireworks display. -- Finger food & Beverage of choice for the pre-festivities gathering at John's house CONTACT (call me before New Years Eve or that night): Doug Van Etten 244-6610 ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ One Adventurer who lives downtown has offered a home for a possible gathering place --- maybe she will offer that we go there after the fireworks, which are typically over by about 9 PM. Another Adventurer has offered a gift certificate for a downtown hotel room. Or, maybe John will be game for going back there to usher in the New Year hour???
