Description: The International Peruvian Association of Culture (APIC) is proud to present, Splendors of Peru Festival 2008, with the participation of ‘Damaris’ in concert. Damaris, of Peruvian musican family roots has won two Silver Trophies in Vina del Mar, Chile 2008, representing a fusion of Andean and Contemporary music. The young talent of Damaris can be seen and felt as she brings to the stage her new fusion with music in Quechua and Spanish, filling the stage with Peruvian and Classical dancers.

Festival activities include a cultural expo with booths that range from arts & crafts, art, books, services and the world famous Peruvian food. Participants in the event include renowned musicians, folk dancers and local artists. The festival provides an opportunity for all to learn about MachuPicchu and other cultural centers of Peru and experience the richness of the Inca heritage.

Come and enjoy an afternoon of folk dances, as well as the diverse rythyms of Peruvian music. There will be no reason to remain seated, as you hear the magic of the ‘cajon’ with its Afro-Peruvian rhythyms or the magestical sound of the Andean flutes, or the passion of the guitars. The ambiance will bring you to experience Peru with harmony, cultural expression and feel the vibrant sounds of the past and present.
