Colbie Caillat (1985) is de jonge Amerikaanse singer-songwriter die in één klap groot werd nadat ze haar nummer ‘Bubbly’ op Myspace zette. Op elfjarige leeftijd besloot Colbie, na het horen van Lauryn Hill’s versie van ‘Killing Me Softly’, om zangeres te worden, en op aanraden van haar vader begon ze zelf liedjes te schrijven. ‘Bubbly’ werd miljoenen keren beluisterd en leverde Colbie een platencontract op. In 2007 kwam haar debuutalbum ‘Coco’ uit dat nummer 1 in de iTunes Charts bereikte en op nummer 5 van de Billboard 200 binnenkwam.
