      A day of free events for all ages


      11am TALK – David Mazower: “The Lodz Masterpieces: 3 Jewish Women’s Art Books Revealed”

      Yiddish Book Center Bibliographer David Mazower reveals the story behind three exquisite limited-edition art books. Published in Lodz in 1921, they were hand-colored by Ida Broyner, Ester Karp and Dina Matus – a trio of young Jewish women artists fresh out of art school and today all but unknown.

      11:30am-1pm | Yiddish Print Shop demonstration

      12:15pm | Tour of the Yiddish Book Center

      2pm CONCERT – Litvakus,

      New York Belarusian Jewish roots/HIP/acoustic punk klezmer

      The Litvakus repertoire is a mix of traditional Belarusian and Litvak (Belarusian Jewish) folk music, as well as contemporary pieces written in the spirit of roots music.
