Houston Jones, high-octane Americana quintet from the San Francisco Bay Area, ignites the evening with their sizzling, electic mixture of original grass-roots americana music. Featuring the mile-a-minute flatpicking of former Waybacks guitarist Glenn Houston and the honky tonk vocals and guitar of Travis Jones, Henry Salvia on keyboard and accordion, Chris Kee (formerly of the Waybacks) on standup bass, and Peter Tucker (formerly of the Waybacks) on percussion, Houston Jones easily blend musical styles from bluegrass, country, folk, and gospel to blues and jazz.The Coffee Gallery Backstage is a 49 seat show room connected to a coffee house surprisingly called, "The Coffee Gallery." Houston Jones
Houston Jones is a San Francisco based high-octane Americana quintet. Formed in 2001, the band performs a mostly original repertoire that ranges from bluegrass and folk to electric blues, rock and gospel. Houston Jones features the mastery of guitarist Glenn Houston, the wizardry of keyboard virtuoso Henry Salvia, and the amazing voice and guitar of Louisiana-born Travis Jones. Rounding out the quartet with a rock-solid foundation are Chris Kee on standup bass and Peter Tucker n drums. Joining the band as a special guest on many of their performances is Chojo Jacques on fiddle and mandolin.Links
