PENDING SNOW COULD CHANGE PLANS - MY CELL IS 453-2310. But unless they close the road, I'd like to do the Jemez. Backup plan would be Aspen Vista in Santa Fe. Latest snow report says Pajarito got 12-15", with roads bad Tues., but Wed. should be terrific skiing! Meet at 9:30am at the Whole Foods (f.k.a. Wild Oats) at San Mateo & Academy, parking at the south edge of lot by Academy. Take off by 9:45 - earlier if all are accounted for. We can pick up north-siders in Bernalillo at Starbucks. (Hey, I got a gift card from a student...) Skiers & snowshoers are welcome. Coyote Call trail is roadside parking on rte. 4 (there's a pullout opposite the trailhead) about 9 miles past the La Cueva turnoff. It's a 3.5 mile loop. The first mile is a slight uphill chug, then level & rolling through the aspens & pines on a wide forest road. There is one fairly steep downhill coming back that hot dogs might like, & some of us might do butt plants in (snowplow practice!). We'll shoot for being back to town by dinnertime, since it's Christmas Eve.
