Description
On the Oldtown/Downtown Albuquerque Walk you will stroll through charming "Old Town" where the city was born, go past museums you may want to tour after the walk, and through historic residential neighborhoods to downtown Albuquerque. You will enjoy several architecturally significant buildings as well as one of the first Hilton Hotels in the world. In Civic Plaza you will see a moving Holocaust Memorial. You will walk segments of Historic Route 66 -- the "Mother Road" from Chicago to Los Angeles; the El Camino Real -- the Royal Road from Mexico City to Santa Fe; and the Pan American Highway from Canada to Mexico, passing by numerous city parks, restaurants, and a brewery.
