Description
Closed on Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day. The trail follows the Rio Grande Nature Trail from the Biological Park to the Rio Grande Nature Center. At the Rio Grande Nature Center you may see eagles, ducks, geese, sandhill cranes, roadrunners, coyotes, and other wild creatures. If the Nature Shop is open you can purchase two pamphlets to more fully appreciate the environment through which you will be walking. When you return to the Biological park you may want to take time to visit the beautiful Botanical Gardens and Aquarium or take a ride to the Albuquerque Zoo. There is a fee for these areas.
