Start Point Address / Driving Directions:
2601 Central Ave NW, Albuquerque, NM 87102. From Albuquerque take I-40 to Exit 157A. South on Rio Grande Blvd for 0.8 miles (second traffic light). Right on Central Ave for 0.4 miles (first light). Right on New York Ave and immediate left into the Biological Park parking lot. Park and walk through the gate to the Administration Office on your right. The registration box is in the lobby. After you register, you will ride your bike to the trail head. Event Description: Daily, 8am-5pm. Closed Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years The trail is rated 1 and is as flat as an ice rink. The trail is at 5,000 feet elevation for the entire 15.5 mile route. The paved route along the Rio Grande Nature Trail is isolated from vehicle traffic. Exercise caution, as the trail is shared with walkers, runners, and rollerbladers.
