Description
Join me on a strenuous winter like hike and/or snowshoe in the Santa Fe Ski Basin area. We will decide which peaks we will attempt to bag when we reach Raven's Ridge along the Winsor Trail. I'm inclined to go for Santa Fe Baldy, but that could be a tough call, especially if there is a lot of unpacked snow. Make sure to bring a pair of snowshoes that can be strapped to your pack and appropriate clothing for winter like conditions (glacier glasses, gaitors, hiking poles with snow baskets, warm and waterproof footgear). There could also be ice on the trails so bring a traction aid if you have one. Would like to carpool with someone if there is ice or snow on the road leading to the ski area as my vehicle doesn't do snow or ice very well. No dogs please.
