Event Information:
This new annual Thanksgiving Day race is hosted by the Mid-Valley Lions Club in partnership with the Albany Area Habitat for Humanity. This is a charity event and all the proceeds go to supporting people with needs in the local communities. This event is timed and managed by AA Sports, Inc.

Course Description:
  • SCENIC CHALLENGE COURSE: The 5.2 mile race is a loop course along rural roads with a significant elevation gain in the middle. The course runs along the base of a ridge and then switchbacks up the ridge before dropping briefly and then beginning a long gentle climb and moderate descent followed by a half mile flat finish. Road security provided. Water available at two points along the route. 3.75 MILE RUN COURSE: This run is out-and-back along a scenic rural road with minor elevation changes. Runners will travel down Thornton Road to the midway markers and refreshment station and return along the same route. Road security provided.

    Location and Facilities:
    The event starts and completes in the North Albany Village Plaza which is a new attractively designed commercial plaza on Highway 20 just over the bridge from downtown Albany.

    5.2mi 3.75 mi

    Classes, Costs, and Awards:
    Preregistration: 5.2mi $25 3.75mi $20 Awards will be presented, at the conclusion of each race, to the Overall Male and Female finishers, and the top Master Male and Female finishers. The top three male and female finishers in each age division will also receive a commemorative award. Competition will be held in the 5.2 mile and 3.75 mile event for the following men's and women's age groups: 12 years & under, 13-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44,45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 years & over.
