HeartBEAT Afrika will perform, meshing street and traditional African percussive beats that incorporate storytelling and dance. Create "glittery bottle cap bling" in the evening's ARTLab and join museum educators for the Quick Look tour. The event is FREE and features Hoppin Frog Brewery and a cash bar. Bling’s unique approach at tackling the subjects of street life in his hometown of Kansas is special because Bling viewed the hustlers, killers, gangbangers and drug dealers from afar. Watching older cousins and friends lose lives and get caught up in the perils of living in the hood taught him how to survive when the time came. His approach to this reality allows him to be one of the hardest hustlers on the Royalty team.
